WIAA 2013 3A 3rd Place Finish

What a Run!!!   Our Seniors Rock! The Grand Finale for Belleuve at State was just that… drama, excitement and wow, our Seniors completed their mission with finesse.  The Semi-final on Friday against Kamaikan was classic soccer… possession, strikes, goal but the best team did not win.  A sweet goal in the 43rd minute from a Johnson to French finish seemed like enough to get it done as BHS was dominating.   Unfortunately, Kamaikan converted on a corner in the second half to tie it up.  Bellevue was fired up and worked hard to pull ahead.   Our shots were solid but scooped up.  And, in the last minute a shot by Kamaikan was too much to handle and went into the back of the net.   Bellevue plays for the 3th or 4th spot. Next stop:  the 3th/4th game.vs. Seattle Prep Seattle Prep has won State 4 out of the last five years and had a message to send.  But, they never gave us much threat.  Nevertheless, it was still 0-0 at half.   Bellevue came out strong and scored in the 22nd minute – assist Alexis Johnson to Clarice Bruch.  A Senior tandem in their last H.S. game!   Late in the game, Prep dropped one in to even the match.  Yet, a free kick from Johnson was converted by a head flick by Sabrina Mohazzabfar.  Bellevue held on easily for a 2-1 win and a 3rd Place in State!  Congratulations ladies!  We love our Seniors!   Wonderful Student-Athletes and role models!
