BELLEVUE STARTS SEASON STRONG

VARSITY Bellevue High School Girls Soccer kicked off its non-conference week with success!  First to BHS was Kamiak, a solid squad who scored first at minute seven.  Twenty minutes later, Bellevue answered when Sophie Butterfield was fouled in the box.  Sabrina Mohazzabfar scored the PK.   Soon after, Butterfield connected and scored with a lofty shot into the top right corner of the goal.  Bellevue held on to win 2-1. Two days later, highly regarded Edmonds-Woodway came to Bellevue.  It was a tight match but first on the board was Bellevue with a pass from Katie Foster to Tracy Monk with a nice finish.  Edmonds-Woodway answered with a beautiful goal of their own.  But, to pull ahead, the Fosters sisters connected for a Corinne Foster header off a corner kick that was punched in by sister, Katie.  2-1 win, Bellevue. With tired legs but competitive spirit, Bellevue hosted Shadle Park who traveled from Eastern Washington.   The sunny day proved even sunnier when Bellevue scored from an assist from Defender, Tracy Monk to Sabrina Mohazzabfar.  Later, Senior Madeline Bach served  a nice cross into the box which Sophie Butterfield finished to solidify a 2-0 win. Conference games start Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7:30pm vs. Interlake.

JV
The JV squad looks to be formidable this year with three decisive wins: 4-1 vs Kamiak; 3-1 vs Edmonds Woodway; and 6-0 vs Shadle Park.

JVC
