Peter Cochran, Varsity Head Coach Peter Cochran is in his eleventh year as head coach of the Bellevue Girls soccer program. During Coach Peter's tenure, the Bellevue varsity team has won five Kingco league championships, advanced to the 3A State tournament eight times, and earned three State Championships in 2016, 2022, and 2025. Peter has been voted the Washington 3A coach of the year and was honored to coach in the 2023 High School All-American game. Previously, Peter coached in London, England at the ACS International School and the Claygate Royals Football Club. He is a former coach and president of the Bellevue United Football Club. As a player, Peter was a two-time collegiate All-American at Santa Clara University and Harvard University, a three-time Parade All-American at Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, OR, and represented the USA at the Youth World Cup and other international tournaments. Peter lives in Bellevue with his wife and three children. Carlie Gilbert, Varsity Assistant Coach Carlie Gilbert is entering her second year as varsity assistant head coach. A proud Bellevue girls soccer alumni from years 2014–2018. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2022 and now works as an administrative assistant in Bellevue. Imad Haque, Goalkeeper Coach Imad Haque is a proud parent of a Class of 2023 BHS Girls Soccer Alumni. He is a general and trauma surgeon at Overlake Medical Center after serving 21 years as an active- duty Army Surgeon. A former Illinois high school goalkeeper and all-American College gymnast, he is passionate about goalkeeping, training and volunteering. Imad has been inducted into the West Point Athletic Hall of Fame. He holds a Level 3 goalkeeping certification from United Soccer Coaches. Heather Rutkowski, JV-C Head Coach Heather Rutkowski enters her second season as the BHS JV-C head coach. She also serves as a head coach in the girls' high school program at Western Washington Surf SC. A former Division 1 collegiate athlete at Illinois State University, Heather utilizes a coaching philosophy that blends technical precision, tactical awareness, and leadership development. When she isn't on the pitch, she works full-time as a Senior Sales Director. Annika Strandrell, Junior Varsity Head Coach Annika Strandell is entering her second season as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. She previously was the JV-C head coach for six seasons. Annika is a BHS girls soccer alumni, having led our 2018 team to a berth in the 3A Final Four as our starting goalkeeper. Annika graduated from UW in spring 2022 and is now working as a dental lab tech. Annika also serves as a Varsity Assistant and Goalkeeping Coach.
